Overnight Driver information

Who is the highest paid delivery driver?

The highest paid delivery drivers are often experienced independent contractors or those working for premium services, earning over $25 to $30 per hour or more, especially with tips and bonuses. Factors such as location, delivery volume, and company policies influence earnings, and drivers with specialized skills or working during peak hours tend to earn higher wages.

What are some of the main challenges Overnight Drivers face while working night shifts?

Overnight Drivers often encounter challenges such as reduced traffic but increased fatigue due to late-night hours, requiring careful attention to rest and alertness. The role may involve making deliveries or pickups when client contacts are limited, so drivers need to be highly self-sufficient and adaptable. Additionally, overnight shifts may have stricter safety protocols and require more independent problem-solving if unexpected issues arise on the road. However, these challenges are balanced by quieter roads and less daytime congestion, offering a different work pace compared to daytime driving. Employers typically provide orientation and support to help new hires adjust to the unique aspects of working overnight.

What jobs pay 2000 a day?

Most jobs that pay $2,000 a day are high-level positions such as executive roles, specialized medical professionals, or successful entrepreneurs. Certain skilled trades, consulting, or sales roles with commissions can also reach this level, but they often require significant experience, certifications, or a strong client base.

What is an Overnight Driver job?

An Overnight Driver is responsible for transporting goods, packages, or passengers during nighttime hours. These drivers often work for delivery services, trucking companies, or rideshare services that require late-night transportation. Duties typically include loading and unloading cargo, following assigned routes, and ensuring timely and safe deliveries. Overnight Drivers must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to stay alert during long hours on the road. This role is ideal for individuals who prefer working independently during less congested hours.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Overnight Driver position, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Overnight Driver, you need a valid commercial or standard driver's license, a clean driving record, and familiarity with safe driving practices. Experience with GPS navigation systems, route planning software, and electronic logging devices (ELDs) is commonly expected. Strong time management, reliability, and the ability to work independently during late hours are valuable soft skills in this position. These skills are crucial for ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining safety, and efficiently handling the unique demands of overnight schedules.

What job makes $10,000 a month without a degree?

An overnight driver can potentially earn $10,000 a month through high mileage, overtime, and tips, especially in specialized freight or long-haul trucking. Success in this role depends on experience, route, and company pay structures, with some drivers earning significant income without formal degrees by working extensive hours and managing logistics skills.

What company in Texas is paying truckers $14000 a week?

Overnight drivers and other truckers can earn high weekly pay through specialized freight, long-haul routes, or with experience and safety records. While some companies advertise high earnings, actual weekly pay varies based on factors such as route, load type, and company policies, and earning $14,000 a week is uncommon and typically associated with owner-operators or highly experienced drivers handling high-value or specialized cargo.

Overnight Shuttle Driver / Guest Service Representative

Tru by Hilton & DoubleTree by Hilton Portland Airport Area
Part-Time | 3 Overnight Shifts Per Week

Looking for a job that's part driver, part hospitality hero, and occasionally involves warm chocolate chip cookies?

We're looking for an energetic, chatty, dependable Overnight Shuttle Driver to help take care of our guests at both the Tru by Hilton and DoubleTree by Hilton in Portland, Maine.

This isn't just a driving job. You'll be helping travelers get where they need to go safely, assisting guests at the front desk when needed, and making sure our overnight operations run smoothly. If you enjoy meeting people, working independently, and being the person guests remember for great service, we'd love to meet you!

And yes, access to DoubleTree cookies is definitely a perk.

What You'll Be Doing

Shuttle Driver Duties

  • Transport guests safely between the hotel and Portland International Jetport
  • Assist guests with luggage as needed
  • Provide friendly, welcoming service during every ride
  • Keep the shuttle clean, fueled, and ready for service
  • Perform basic vehicle inspections and report any concerns

Guest Service Duties

  • Serve as a backup to the front desk team during overnight hours
  • Assist guests with questions, directions, and requests
  • Answer phones and help with basic guest inquiries
  • Prepare and maintain fresh lobby coffee for morning guests
  • Bag DoubleTree cookies and prepare them for guest arrivals
  • Stock the front desk beverage cooler and guest market items
  • Replenish bottled waters and guest amenities at the front desk
  • Help prepare the hotel for the morning shift and arriving guests
  • Support hotel operations during quieter overnight periods
  • Complete side work and stocking tasks to ensure the hotel is guest-ready each day

What We're Looking For

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Friendly, chatty, outgoing personality
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Comfortable working overnight hours
  • Ability to work independently and stay productive during slower periods
  • Customer service experience is a plus
  • Hotel experience is a bonus, but not required

What's In It For You?

? Flexible Part-Time Schedule (3 overnight shifts per week)
? Hilton Team Member Travel Discounts Worldwide
? Tips are common
? Friendly, supportive team environment
? Opportunity to learn hotel operations and guest service skills
? Free parking
? DoubleTree cookies (we'd be lying if we said this wasn't important)

Why Join Us?

Every night is a little different. One minute you're helping a guest catch an early flight, the next you're sharing local recommendations, assisting the front desk, or welcoming weary travelers after a long day.

If you're dependable, enjoy helping people, and don't mind a job with a little variety, this could be the perfect fit.

Apply today and help keep Portland moving-one airport run and one warm welcome at a time.
