Marketing Project Manager
Role Overview
Hourly Rate: $60-$70 an hour on w2
We are seeking an experienced Marketing Project Manager to support our client's marketing initiatives and manage multiple campaigns simultaneously. This role will be responsible for driving projects from planning through execution, coordinating cross-functional resources, managing timelines and budgets, mitigating risks, and ensuring successful delivery.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of project management experience, understands the full marketing campaign lifecycle, and is comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. Utility experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
  • Develop and manage project plans, scope, budgets, timelines, outcomes, and deliverables using our client's PMO tools and methodologies.
  • Define project resource requirements and coordinate availability with resource managers.
  • Manage timelines, budgets, priorities, and resource allocation across multiple concurrent marketing campaigns.
  • Identify project risks, maintain risk logs, resolve issues, and escalate concerns when appropriate.
  • Proactively identify dependencies and potential bottlenecks before they impact deadlines or deliverables.
  • Develop project roadmaps that clearly identify milestones, dependencies, and requirements for successful delivery.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, actionable, and achievable project objectives.
  • Manage project change control in accordance with established policies and processes.
  • Ensure project documentation is accurate, complete, and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct analysis to estimate, manage, and track project costs and budgets.

PMO, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Support and promote adherence to our client's project management methodology.
  • Monitor and report on project performance, quality, delivery metrics, and overall project health.
  • Support portfolio-level quality reviews and adherence to established project processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the consistency and effectiveness of project delivery.
  • Drive improvements related to risk mitigation, stakeholder engagement, and project outcomes.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, collaboration, prioritization, negotiation, and decision-making across cross-functional teams.
Marketing Project Management
  • Manage projects across the full marketing campaign lifecycle, from brief and creative development through production, launch, and measurement.
  • Coordinate cross-channel marketing campaigns involving digital, social media, email, events, PR, and other channels.
  • Support direct marketing campaigns involving targeting, business rules, and test-and-learn iterations.
  • Partner with marketing teams and stakeholders to keep multiple campaigns moving simultaneously.
  • Understand marketing terminology and workflows well enough to effectively coordinate teams and identify dependencies; hands-on execution within each marketing channel is not required.

Requirements
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of project management experience, preferably supporting marketing initiatives or campaigns.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple complex projects or campaigns simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to work across all levels of an organization.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and navigate difficult conversations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and prioritization skills.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and helping teams clarify goals, constraints, priorities, and trade-offs.
  • Experience with business process improvement and change management is desired.
  • Utility industry experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • PMP, PMI, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
