Description

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines and vehicles
  • Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines and vehicles
  • Use diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot issues
  • Communicate with customers to explain repairs and maintenance needed
  • Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a diesel mechanic training program or apprenticeship preferred.
  • ASE certification in diesel engine repair (e.g., Medium-Heavy Truck Certification - T-Series) is desirable.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, computerized systems, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
