Position Overview
As Director of Sales & Marketing, you are the storyteller, strategist, and driving force behind Embassy Suites San Antonio Airport's continued success. You'll lead a dynamic sales and marketing team to maximize revenue, elevate our brand, and bring our hotel to the forefront of the San Antonio market and beyond.
What You'll Do
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy that captures the spirit of our organization and brand.
  • Lead and inspire the Sales & Marketing team, cultivating excellence, accountability, and creativity across all functions (corporate, group, leisure, catering, digital, and PR).
  • Strengthen market share and profitability through strategic account development, partnerships, and business expansion.
  • Collaborate closely with Revenue Management and Operations to align pricing, forecasting, and guest experience strategies.
  • Oversee digital marketing, social media, and PR campaigns that highlight our revitalized spaces, culinary offerings, and one-of-a-kind location.
  • Build deep relationships with meeting planners, travel partners, corporations, and local organizations, positioning the hotel as the preferred choice for meetings, events, and leisure stays.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive positioning to ensure continuous innovation and market leadership.
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows, community events, and client functions.
  • Deliver clear reporting, forecasting, and performance metrics to the General Manager and ownership group.

Supportive Functions:
In addition to the performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the requirements of the company.
  • Participates in industry organizations.
  • Maintains an open line of communication between guests, employees and management.
  • Inputs and retrieves information from computer system for file maintenance, correspondence and preparation of forecasts and marketing input.

What You'll Bring
Preferred Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Hospitality Management preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive hotel sales and marketing leadership, preferably within the Hilton brand or full-service hotel.
Required Skills and Abilities
• Demonstrated success in driving RevPAR, ADR, and occupancy growth through innovative sales and marketing strategies.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing, revenue optimization, and destination positioning.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence across departments and build long-term client relationships.
• Passion for hospitality, community engagement, and authentic guest experiences.
Other Qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Delphi and front office systems.
  • Ability to analyze STR reports, Hotelligence, Knowland and other analytical tools for sales and revenue management.
  • Overnight travel is required.
  • May require evening, night, holiday, and weekend assignments on occasion.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
