Job Type: Contract – Approximately 6 months
Schedule: Overnight Shift
Hours: 9:30 PM – 5:30 AM, Sunday evening through Friday morning
Location: Branchburg, NJ

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced L2–L3 Installers to perform basic and intermediate installation and decommissioning activities in central office environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with telecommunications or data center equipment, structured cabling, fiber optic and copper cables, labeling, and cable termination. The Installer will receive coaching and mentoring as needed while working safely and efficiently in a central office environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform basic and intermediate installation activities in central office environments
  • Install and decommission telecommunications and data center equipment
  • Create and apply accurate labels to cables and equipment
  • Install various types of cabling, including fiber optic and copper
  • Follow industry standards, cable color codes, and installation specifications
  • Terminate RJ45 connectors on copper cables
  • Install, route, and organize cables to maintain proper cable management
  • Work with Power Distribution Units (PDUs), patch panels, fiber optic cables, and copper cables
  • Assist with equipment installation, removal, and decommissioning
  • Maintain an organized and safe work environment
  • Follow established procedures and safety requirements
  • Work effectively with team members and accept coaching and mentoring as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience in telecommunications, central office, data center, or structured cabling installation
  • Hands-on experience installing and working with fiber optic and copper cabling
  • Experience with cable labeling and cable management
  • Knowledge of industry standards and cable color codes
  • Experience terminating RJ45 connectors
  • Ability to understand installation procedures and technical instructions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be comfortable working a 100% overnight schedule
  • Must be a local candidate
