Job Description A well-established, growth-oriented manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Plant Controller to lead plant-level financial operations and partner closely with operations leadership. This role is responsible for driving accurate financial reporting, supporting cost management initiatives, strengthening internal controls, and providing actionable analysis that supports operational performance and business decisions. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in a manufacturing environment and enjoys blending accounting rigor with operational partnership. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop onsite accounting staff, including workflow oversight, training, coaching, and performance management. Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting activities, including production reporting, estimates, KPI reporting, journal entries, reconciliations, and management reporting. Manage month-end close activities and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data. Review and approve journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations while maintaining strong internal control compliance. Partner with plant and operations leadership to provide financial analysis, budget variance reporting, forecasting, and strategic decision support. Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and standard cost development for existing and new product lines. Assist with capital project financial reviews, project charge audits, and capital closeout processes. Perform and support internal audit activities, including inventory controls, fixed asset verification, and balance sheet reviews. Develop, maintain, and improve accounting procedures, controls, and compliance practices. Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and other departments to support continuous improvement and financial performance initiatives.
