Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, airway, pain levels, and overall stability during the immediate post-anesthesia recovery phase
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and anesthesia providers
  • Provide emotional support, reassurance, and education to patients and their families
  • Document all patient care activities, assessments, and interventions accurately per regulatory standards
  • Respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient condition or emergencies
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical techs, and fellow nurses to ensure seamless care and optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain infection control, safety, and compliance standards within the surgery center
Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana
  • 1โ€“2 years of PACU, ICU, or critical care experience strongly preferred
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to remain calm under pressure
