Job description

Columbia Memorial Hospital in collaboration with Oregon Health & Science University are seeking a general surgery leader to join our Astoria, Oregon group of experienced surgeons who provide general surgery care to patients in a community setting.


General Surgeon leadership opportunity at Critical Access Hospital on the Oregon Coast while having an affiliation with the state of Oregon’s only academic medical center.

  • Seeking an innovative general surgery physician leader to launch and lead the da Vinci robotic surgery program, serve as the site program director for OHSU general surgery residents and lead the general surgery program at CMH.
  • Opportunity for growth as a clinical and administrative leader in a Clinical Associate or Academic track with OHSU employment and support.
  • Balanced mix of dedicated OR and clinic time along with administrative time support to lead the robotic surgery program.
    Collaborative, established relationships with surgeons, oncology providers, radiologists, pathologists, hospitalists and primary care providers
  • 1:4 General Surgery call while maintaining prompt offsite availability.
  • Growing and financially strong organization.

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certification or Board Eligible in General Surgery
  • Active, unrestricted Oregon Medical License
  • DEA Certificate
