Outside Sales/Biz Dev – Design and Sell Premium Custom Outdoor Living Spaces Job Overview

  • Salary/Pay Rate: $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year (Salary + Commission).

  • Location: Hanover, MA (Hybrid).

  • Job/Employment Type: Full-Time.

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, Weekends.

  • Project Scope: High-End Residential (Custom Garages, Pool Houses, Pavilions).

  • Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: None Required.

The Opportunity

You will transform client dreams into reality by designing and selling high-ticket, personalized outdoor structures for a premier construction brand. This role offers the financial stability of a strong base salary paired with uncapped commission potential for a driven closer. You will join a high-performance team that provides the resources and innovative strategy necessary to exceed your professional and financial goals.

How You Will Make an Impact
  • Cultivate high-value relationships with homeowners and trade professionals to generate a consistent pipeline of new business.

  • Consult with clients at our design center and in their homes to understand their unique vision and project requirements.

  • Execute a disciplined prospecting strategy involving cold calling and networking to identify untapped market opportunities.

  • Develop and present comprehensive project recommendations that align with client needs and the Outdoor Personia brand.

  • Navigate complex sales cycles by utilizing advanced questioning and listening skills to close high-ticket contracts effectively.

  • Collaborate with the design and operations teams to ensure every custom project is feasible and meets our quality standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in outside sales, specifically selling high-ticket products or services.

  • Proven track record of earning at least $80,000 per year in a performance-based sales environment. Ability to sell projects averaging in the $20,000+ range.

  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, negotiate, and close business directly with primary decision-makers. Homeowners or B2B experience is highly preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a strong command of basic mathematical calculations for project estimating.

  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage a flexible schedule including weekend appointments.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • Direct experience or certification in the Sandler Sales methodology.

  • Prior success within the residential construction, remodeling, or luxury outdoor living industry.

  • Strong existing network of local trade professionals, architects, or landscape designers.
