Overview
Turner Staffing Group is hiring General Laborers to support a client's operations in Hinkley, California. This position plays a critical role in maintaining safe, efficient, and productive site operations by assisting crews with general labor tasks, site cleanup, material handling, and operational support in active outdoor environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for dependable, hardworking individuals with experience in construction, mining, quarry, or other heavy industrial environments who are comfortable working outdoors and committed to workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general labor duties including shoveling, cleanup, sweeping, and site housekeeping
  • Assist crews with material handling, loading/unloading, and jobsite preparation
  • Support operators, maintenance personnel, and supervisors with daily operational needs
  • Work safely around heavy equipment, machinery, and active work zones
  • Conduct routine inspections of work areas and report safety hazards or damaged equipment
  • Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work environments
  • Follow all company safety policies, site procedures, and MSHA regulations
  • Use hand tools and basic equipment safely and effectively
  • Perform physically demanding work in outdoor and varying weather conditions

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in construction, mining, quarry, industrial, or outdoor labor environments preferred
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and hazard awareness
  • Ability to lift, carry, bend, climb, and work on uneven terrain throughout the shift
  • Valid driver's license required
  • MSHA certification preferred (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
  • Ability to work in dusty, hot, cold, and physically demanding conditions
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance required
  • Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
