The Role
The Education Program Manager serves as a key leader in advancing learning, professional development, and education initiatives across Wilson Health.
Reporting to the Vice President of People Services, this role partners with nursing and organizational leaders to develop programs, improve systems, support employee growth, and promote a culture of continuous learning.
Success in this role requires the ability to build relationships, influence without direct authority, and create practical solutions that support both employees and leaders.
Education & Professional Development
โ€ข Facilitate and support the Unit Based Educator program across the organization
โ€ข Lead monthly Staff Nurse Specialist meetings and promote consistency in educational practices
โ€ข Support onboarding, orientation, competency validation, and continuing education initiatives
โ€ข Support the development of professional development programs
โ€ข Partner with leaders across clinical and non-clinical departments to identify learning needs and develop effective education and development solutions
โ€ข Serve as an educational resource and consultant to leaders throughout the organization
โ€ข Evaluate educational programs and outcomes and recommend improvements
โ€ข Participate in interdisciplinary projects and process improvement initiatives
Learning Systems & HealthStream Leadership
โ€ข Serve as the organizational superuser and subject matter expert for HealthStream
โ€ข Lead efforts to simplify, standardize, and optimize curriculum structures, assignments, learning pathways, and reporting
โ€ข Establish sustainable governance processes that improve system usability and reduce unnecessary complexity
โ€ข Develop tools, resources, and reporting that empower leaders to effectively utilize HealthStream within their own departments
โ€ข Increase leader ownership and accountability for employee learning, competency management, and compliance activities
โ€ข Ensure accurate education records, assignment tracking, and regulatory reporting
โ€ข Continuously evaluate system functionality and recommend enhancements that improve the learner and leader experience
Regulatory Education & Compliance Support
โ€ข Collaborate with nursing leadership and Staff Nurse Specialists to support regulatory and accreditation requirements
โ€ข Assist with annual competencies, mandatory education, and certification programs
โ€ข Coordinate and support RQI administration and related educational initiatives
โ€ข Support organizational compliance with education and training requirements
Qualifications
โ€ข Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio required
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
โ€ข Minimum five years of nursing experience required
โ€ข Minimum three years of experience in nursing education, professional development, staff development, clinical leadership, or healthcare leadership required
โ€ข Demonstrated experience leading projects, implementing new programs, or driving process improvement initiatives required
โ€ข Strong Learning Management System experience required
โ€ข Experience administering and optimizing HealthStream or a comparable Learning Management System strongly preferred
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to build consensus, influence stakeholders, and lead change initiatives across departments preferred
โ€ข BLS required; instructor credentials preferred
โ€ข Experience with RQI preferred
