What is an outbound call center agent?

Outbound call center agents are professionals who make outgoing calls on behalf of a company, typically to promote products or services, conduct surveys, or follow up with customers. Their primary role is to reach out to potential or existing customers rather than receiving incoming calls. These agents often work in sales, telemarketing, fundraising, or customer relationship management. Strong communication skills and resilience are important for success in this role. Outbound call center agents are essential for businesses looking to expand their reach and maintain customer engagement.
