Job Description:
The OU Health Administrative Fellowship Program offers a unique, one-year journey designed to forge the next generation of healthcare leaders. Through immersive education, hands-on experience, and close mentorship, fellows are prepared to make significant contributions to healthcare management. The program facilitates direct exposure to top executives, seasoned physicians, and influential community leaders within OU Health and OU Health Sciences Center, utilizing a dynamic rotational model to provide the knowledge, skills, and networks essential for securing a pivotal leadership position in the healthcare industry.
Essential Responsibilities:

  • Engage in comprehensive leadership development programs, designed to fast-track your ascent into healthcare management roles.
  • Navigate through a series of structured rotations - spanning hospital operations, specialized service lines, and strategic corporate functions - to identify and hone your leadership niche.
  • Benefit from personalized mentorship, gaining insights and guidance from OU Health's esteemed executives, enhancing your professional growth and network.

General Responsibilities:
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including ability to adapt and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Completion of Master's degree in Hospital Administration (MHA), Public Health (MPH), Business Administration (MBA) or related degree program from an accredited college or university.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of hospital administration.
  • Familiar with managerial techniques of office procedures, business communications and/or public relations.
  • Good interpersonal skills that allow for integrated teamwork with hospital staff and the general public.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to evaluate and analyze situations and take an appropriate course of action.
