We are currently searching for a Patient Services Specialist for our OrthoCarolina Day OUC office location in Concord.

The schedule for this position will rotating 12-hour shifts (9am-9pm Monday-Friday)

ThePatient Services Specialistgreets patients, prepares forms, collects,verifiesand enters patient information into EPIC necessary for thetimelyandaccurateprocessing of patient claims.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepares paperwork necessary for thepatientvisit.

  • Answers incoming phone calls and directs calls, makes appointments, performs Cashier duties as directed including posting of charges,

  • Collection of co-payments/co-insurance and balances due.

  • Follows the process for release of medical information and FMLA/disabilityformscompletion as requested.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Working knowledge of insurance

  • Epic/EMR background a plus

  • Medical terminology

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate and/or associate or bachelor's degree

  • Prefer minimum of one year experience inmedicalclinic setting.
