Reporting to the VP of Global Operations, the Strategic Sourcing Director NA and EU will lead Ott's strategic sourcing responsibilities across Europe (EU) and North America (NA) for both direct and indirect spend. This role oversees long-term commodity and supplier management strategies across Electronics, Chemistry, Key Technologies, Mechanical (Plastics, Metals, & MRO), and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) commodity categories.

This leader plays a critical role within the Global Strategic Sourcing organization and is responsible for achieving aggressive strategic key performance indicators (KPIs) while building a world-class supply base that supports the manufacturing of water quality applications for laboratory and process instruments serving Ott customers globally.

This role requires a leader who operates with the highest level of personal, professional, and ethical conduct while driving operational excellence, strategic execution, and team development.

This position is part of the Global Operations team located in Fort Collins, CO and will be an On-Site role.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Initially establish strong buyer processes, operating cadence, and standard work for the Fort Collins purchasing team to ensure disciplined execution and scalability.
  • Transition into full ownership of the Strategic Sourcing organization by driving enterprise-level sourcing strategy, supplier performance, and long-term value creation.
  • Provide strategic and technical leadership with a strong emphasis on communication, people development, and building a high-performing, team-oriented culture.
  • Develop and execute commodity strategies that optimize the supply base and drive strong outcomes related to cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Manage supplier relationships, supplier performance, contracts, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Own and drive strategic KPIs including Purchase Price Variance (PPV), Supplier On-Time Delivery (OTD), Contract Management, Supplier Risk Management (SRM), and Days Payable Outstanding (DPO).
  • Understand how sourcing performance impacts operating margin expansion (OMX) and other core value drivers (CVDs).
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through rigorous application of Veralto Enterprise System (VES) tools and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Veralto Procurement teams to drive alignment and business results.
  • Monitor global market conditions across commodity categories and use data-driven insights to develop sourcing strategies that exceed business objectives.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of leadership experience required
  • Minimum of 10 years of supply chain experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management preferred
  • Experience in strategic planning, negotiations, finance, Microsoft Office, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems required
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement tools and methodologies
  • Proven success in developing teams and leading people
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $ 180,000 - $ 210,000 USD per year.This job is also eligible for Incentive Pay.
