Job description

OSP Engineering & Customer Support Coordinator

Luminate is looking for an OSP Engineering & Customer Support Coordinator to design and estimate our fiber-to-the-premise network while serving as the key point of contact between Operations, technicians, and customers. It's a hybrid role - part technical engineering, part customer consultation - for someone who's as comfortable reading a network map as they are on the phone with a customer.

What You'll Do
  • Engineer, estimate, and design fiber, Fixed Wireless, and Millimeter Wave network extensions using NISC software
  • Prepare and issue staking sheets for field construction crews
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Engineering and residential/commercial customers - scheduling site visits, consulting on service needs, and following up post-installation
  • Assist with design review and recommendations for the YVEA middle-mile backbone network
  • Run monthly billing processes, manage delinquent accounts, and process disconnects per policy
  • Support escalated technical and billing complaints, coordinating between Customer Service and Engineering
  • Troubleshoot fiber and connectivity issues, escalating complex cases as needed
What You Bring
  • Experience with NISC software or similar OSP/GIS design tools (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills - you'll bridge technical and customer-facing conversations daily
  • Comfort managing billing, collections, and account processes
  • Customer service background, ideally in telecom or utilities
  • Ability to juggle engineering projects, customer calls, and billing deadlines
Why Luminate

Help build critical fiber infrastructure for our community, with a role that spans engineering, operations, and customer service - real variety, real impact.
