Position Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Safety Manager/Officer to lead our on-site and corporate safety initiatives. The ideal candidate will hold a CHST certification, along with OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 credentials, and will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment in compliance with OSHA standards, company policies, and all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments of job sites and facilities.
  • Provide safety training and toolbox talks to employees and subcontractors (e.g., hazard communication, PPE, fall protection).
  • Investigate incidents, near-misses, and injuries to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate safety records including inspections, incidents, training logs, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Serve as a liaison with OSHA and other regulatory agencies during inspections or audits.
  • Support emergency response planning and conduct drills as required.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

  • CHST Certification (Required)
  • OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 Certifications (Required)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in safety management, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety protocols, and best practices.
  • Strong communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in incident reporting systems and safety management software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • First Aid/CPR Certification
