Corbett High School JV Volleyball Coach 2026-27
Title: High School - JV Volleyball Coach
Classification: Extra Duty
Reports To: Head Coach, Athletic Director, and Building
Administration
Terms of Employment: One Athletic Season - renewed annually. Salary to be
determined by Board/District 39 Education
Association Contract Agreement.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Any offer of employment made by Corbett School District is contingent upon satisfactory results of:
    • Criminal history verification- a background check for any convictions directly related to the duties and responsibilities of the position. Unless otherwise required by law, only job-related convictions will be considered and will not automatically disqualify the applicant from employment.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Directs and supervises daily organized practice sessions during the regulated season, including seasonal goals and objectives.
  • Work cooperatively with parents, other coaches, staff, officials, and support programs.
  • Assist the Athletic Director in maintaining the care of athletic facilities and aid in the preparation of the facilities for athletic competition.
  • Conduct pre-season meetings with all athletes and parents, outlining schedules, student athletic contracts, and the Student Athletic Handbook.
  • Work to improve skills and knowledge of each athlete and the team as a whole, taking into account not only the development of fundamentals, but also the mental skills associated with athletic performance and character development.
  • Enforce appropriate team rules and team discipline.
  • Follow OSAA Guidelines and Principles of Sportsmanship.
  • Adhere to the requirements of athletic eligibility. Support student-athlete academic success by ensuring students are meeting the school district's academic progress expectations; provide and enforce appropriate interventions when there are signs of deficiencies.
  • Adhere to the District Athletic Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures of the league, and OSAA rules.
  • Work harmoniously with the Corbett community, volunteers, parents, and school personnel.
  • Communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) with students, parents, officials, and staff.
  • Submit rosters, equipment, and uniform inventory
  • Supervise and/or arrange for proper supervision of student/athletes during practices, meets, travel, and related activities.
  • Consult with Athletic Director and Administration concerning playing conditions, safety concerns, program improvements, player performance, outside complaints, and other related matters.
