Job description

Orlando Health is seeking a BE/BC Anesthesiologist to join our Ambulatory Anesthesiology team for our multispecialty ASCs. Join a collaborative team of anesthesiologists and advanced practice anesthesia providers in delivering exceptional patient experience with safe, up to date care, while being a catalyst to expand the organization's mission and achieve its vision. The case mix ranges from Colorectal, GI, Bariatrics, Plastics, Adult & Peds ENT,  Urology, Spine, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, Ortho etc. 

Ambulatory Anesthesiology Locations

  • Physicians Surgical Care Center in Winter Park

  • Rinehart Surgery Center in Lake Mary

  • Orlando Surgery Center in Winter Park

  • Orange Avenue Surgery Center in Orlando

  • Lakeview Surgery Center in Orlando

Essential Functions 

  • Collaborative member of anesthesiology department to work with surgeons, nurses, and other medical professionals 
  • Partnership with surgeons and administration.
  • Evaluate and formulate anesthetic plan for patients undergoing surgical and/or diagnostic care 
  • Supervision/Medical Direction of certified anesthetists delivering anesthesia 
  • Personally administer anesthesia intraoperatively with continuous monitoring of vital signs and titration of anesthesia needed 

Other Related Functions 

  • Schedule: MONDAY - FRIDAY ONLY
  • No Call, nights, weekends or holidays.
  • Maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. 
  • Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures 
  • Attends and participates in departmental meetings and educational initiatives 
  • Teach student anesthetists, residents, fellows or other learners 

Role Requirements 

  • Anesthesiologists must be either an M.D. or D.O. with the completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited Anesthesiology Residency program. 
  • Board eligible or board certified in Anesthesiology 
  • Anesthesiologist must complete and meet hospital credentialing requirements. 
  • Must hold or be able to obtain active Florida medical license prior to start 
  • Not a J-1 sponsored position.
