WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORThe
Senior Copywriter - Origins will serve as lead copywriter for the Origins brand, bringing the brand story, ethos, and narrative to life across key consumer touchpoints. This includes the ability to write for social, digital, and print. Reporting to the Art Director, you will help craft the brand strategy into compelling creative concepts and rich narrative. This is an opportunity to define the tone of voice for a global brand and shape how consumers experience Origins at every touchpoint.

PAY RANGEThe anticipated base salary for this position is $99,400 to $125,000.
Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.
WHAT YOU'D BE DOING IN THIS ROLECopywriting & Narrative- Brand Voice Strategy & Guideline Development: Evaluate, refine, and maintain the Origins brand tone of voice as a living style-guide document, ensuring it reflects current strategic positioning and global standards while training cross-functional teams.
- Multi-Channel Creative Execution: Develop high-impact language and concepts for brand campaigns, product launches, social media, email, OOH, PR, video, and digital platforms, safely stretching the voice in new directions based on the channel.
- Cross-Functional Design & Retail Integration: Partner closely with Art Direction, Design, and Visual Merchandising teams to generate cohesive narratives that seamlessly blend visual and verbal execution for a holistic physical retail customer experience.
- Social Media Personality & Team Enablement: Establish a distinct personality and linguistic framework for Origins on key social channels, collaborating deeply with the social media team to empower them to write confidently alongside you.
- Scientific Translation & Content Strategy: Absorb deep product knowledge and complex product innovation science, masterfully translating technical data into compelling phrases and extended copy for various content purposes.
- Creative Direction & Production Governance: Provide clear, effective direction through all phases of production, working fluidly with both internal teams and external agency partners to bring the visual and verbal brand identity to life.
- Team Mentorship & Ideation: Actively mentor, coach, and ideate with junior creative team members to elevate their writing capabilities and expand their strategic execution.
Tone of Voice Custodianship & Organizational Leadership- Editorial Quality Control & Compliance: Act as the final reviewer and primary custodian for all brand language, overseeing the proofreading and editing process to ensure all output is strictly on-tone, on-brand, and grammatically precise.
- Legal & Regulatory Collaboration: Lead communication and collaboration with Legal and Regulatory teams to ensure high-impact, creative copy meets strict compliance standards without losing its unique brand essence.
- Global Alignment & Agency Governance: Provide consistent training and structured feedback to internal departments and external agencies, protecting the brand's DNA and ensuring global execution always ladders back to the strategic brief.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE- 7+ Years of Global Brand Copywriting: Deep experience crafting high-level creative and conceptual copy for large, global consumer-facing brands.
- People Leadership & Mentorship: Proven line management experience with a natural ability to inspire, motivate, and develop rising creative talent.
- 360° Multi-Channel & Social Expertise: Demonstrable success writing across OOH, PR, CRM, Video, Packaging, and Digital, backed by deep knowledge of TikTok and Instagram best practices.
- Strategic & Entrepreneurial Mindset: A proactive, out-of-the-box problem solver who can confidently draft a strategically-sound campaign brief from a completely blank page.
- Polished Communication & Education: Exceptional written and verbal skills with impeccable grammar, a fluid ability to adapt tone to different audiences, and a Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or Communications.
