Job description


SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Provides sales support to contribute to and facilitate the Portland Food & Agriproducts Department's ability to meet its sales obligations after contracts have been negotiated.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
SALES SUPPORT
• Receives and/or processes customer orders
• Receives, creates and distributes Purchase Orders, invoices, contracts, sales confirmations, packing lists, certificates of origins, and other sales documentation. Enters sales information into the accounting system.
• Maintains close communication with buyers, suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, warehouses and brokers via telephone and e-mail.
• Coordinates transportation for all inventory related sales.
• Conducts collection e-mails and calls when payments are overdue.
• Maintains working knowledge of products and product specifications.
• Assist the sales manager.
ACCOUNTING
• Processes accounts payable/receivable in accounting system.
• Collects inventory records and processes entry in the system.
Requirements
Proficient in Japanese.(Read/Write/Speak)
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of accounting/booking is plus.
Experience in working a trading firm is plus.
