Overview
The Specialist, Organizational Development will be an innovative, resourceful, and creative professional that will partner to bring our O&TD function to the next level. This position is responsible for creating and delivering effective management and leadership training to support continued people and leadership development across multiple functional areas. This includes the design and facilitation of programs, presentation of material, instructional design, partnering with internal subject matter experts and management of company-wide talent management initiatives. The Specialist, Organizational Development reports to the Sr. Dir, Leadership and Organizational Development and supports the People and Learning (PAL) initiatives to align with the strategic goals and objectives of the business.
Responsibilities
  • Partners with, plans and develops mission critical projects, learning and development solutions, and organizational development initiatives that support the Leadership & Organizational Development Strategy
  • Partners in the development of the organization's Leadership programs through the leadership life cycle, including the identification of organizational development tools, process management, design and development of solutions to align with leadership behavioral goals at the following levels: new manager / leader, in-role leader / manager, future leader / manager, and leader/manager mentor
  • Partners in the regular assessment of current organizational needs and designing / developing / deploying programs that strengthen the contribution of our team members and optimize the company's performance across multiple functional areas
  • Partners in the design and development of creating and implementing plans for projects and programs within the People and Learning organization including communications, training materials, presentations, and other materials
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Organization Development or related discipline. In lieu of degree, +2 years of experience is required
  • 4+ years of related experience with 3-5 years of functional experience in an HR/OD
  • Knowledge of leadership Development, organizational development, training design and delivery, leadership development
  • Knowledge of HROD Best Practices, including partnership within a Field / Corporate HR model, Competency Based-HR Systems, individual development planning, mentoring and coaching
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills including classroom, online, and small group processes with ability to effectively coach and influence others at similar levels of the organization
  • Strong project / process / program / management skills
  • Understanding of Learning Technology and related technology-enabled learning solutions

Preferred
  • Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership, Organization Behavior, Industrial / Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, or related discipline is preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in an HR/OD leadership role preferred
  • Operations experience in multi-unit service industry preferred
  • Facilitation / Operational certification within the HR/OD function is preferred

  • Intermediate to advanced PowerPoint

  • Ability to effectively and succinctly simplify complex data and communicate information to Senior Management
