Job description

NP/PA Locum Opening – Cardiovascular Surgery – Loveland, CO – September Start

Job Details:

  • Practice Setting: Cardiovascular Surgery (Cardiac only – no vascular)
  • Location: Loveland, CO
  • Start Date: September start (credentialing 90–120 days)
  • Schedule: Full-time – 4x10s
  • Call: 1 night/week + 1 weekend/month (single site coverage)
  • Patient Population: 100% adult

Practice Details:

  • Surgery volume: 1–3 cases per day
  • 5 physicians in group
  • Support staff: 3 ORFA, 6 ICU APPs, 2 floor APPs, 1 clinic APP
  • No supervision required
  • Other thoracic surgeons onsite during coverage
  • No clinic responsibilities
  • Facility: 300 beds, 12-bed CICU
  • Trauma Level I
  • Lab and imaging onsite

Required Procedures (must be proficient):

  • CABG with EVH and endoscopic radial harvesting
  • Coronary artery bypass (on-pump and off-pump)
  • General cardiac/thoracic surgery (open and endoscopic)
  • Valvular repair and replacement
  • Congenital defect repairs (ASD, VSD, PFO, etc.)
  • Aneurysm repair (including aorto-thoracic)
  • Lung resection (including VATS)
  • Chest wall and pleural procedures
  • Esophagus and diaphragm surgeries
  • Left ventricular assist devices (LVAD)
  • Arterial line placement

Additional Information:

  • Cardiac surgery coverage only (no vascular cases)
  • Hospital privileges required
  • Central referral system through physician doc line
