Job description

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Battery processor is responsible for operating the battery processing line, data entry and forklift movements.


Key Responsibilities:

Processing batteries

Transport raw materials, scrap and recyclable materials throughout plant using a forklift

Data entry using Microsoft Excel and Greentrax

Clean work areas and equipment

Perform other duties as assigned by management

Knowledge, Skills and Key Competencies:

Completion of secondary school

Must be able to perform labour intensive duties (i.e. heavy lifting is required)

Must have strong verbal and written communication skills

Forklift experience an asset

Physical strength is required for manual material handling materials

Long standing, walking and some minimal climbing of ladders and stairs

Wearing and maintenance of required PPE including respirator mask

Working Conditions

You must be able to stand for long periods of time

You may be exposed to environmental conditions such as hot, cold, dirt, dust, wet or noise

You must be able to work independently and as part of a larger team environment

You must be able to communicate in English both verbally and electronically

Work Schedule:

This position will operate in an industrial setting that operates 5 days per week. You may be required to work additional hours and/or outside of regular hours to meet customer requirements.

This is a safety sensitive position. Offers of employment are conditional upon the successful completion of a drug and alcohol test.
