Job description

Position Summary

The Order Processing Admin is responsible for receiving work from various avenues within the company and delegating work to Sr Order Entry Associates. Other duties within the role include archiving the completed work as well as completing accurate reports for upper management. The Order Processing Admin will strive to obtain complete and accurate order information so orders can be processed and completed with little to no errors including archiving for reporting purposes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Major responsibilities of the position are listed below. To perform the job successfully, the individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties, assignments and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of executive management.

  • Responsible for receiving work for data entry.
  • Ability to give clear instructions as needed when delegating work to an associate.
  • Ability to utilize resources to receive work in and mark orders as done.
  • Report issues to the Order Operations Manager.
  • Must be able to work 40 hours per week along with overtime as needed.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to attend and successfully complete Admin Training.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with other departments as needed.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Detail oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy.
  • Affective conflict resolution.
  • Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 or more seasons experience at Harry & David as an Sr. Order Entry Associate in the Corporate Sales Division.
  • Detail oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal) for effective interaction with all levels of company personnel.
  • Ability to participate in a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of computer based-systems, Internet, and Microsoft office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) required.
