Description

Position Summary:

As a Warehouse Worker, you will take orders from request to reality, in an environment where you'll feel and create a culture of safety and family. You will safely and efficiently retrieve product, stack orders for delivery, and monitor inventory levels within the warehouse. This includes directing, stocking, selecting, and replenishing products to ensure that our warehouse is providing customers with exceptional service and quality. Our Warehouse Team Members prepare the orders that sustain our business, instilling and reinforcing safety above all else. We work as a team to deliver accurate and damage-free orders. At the foundation of those efforts are our cultural beliefs, the pillars that define our work ethic, collaborative spirit, and service. Together we help our customers make it, but we also believe in helping our warehouse team make it!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Palletizing products
  • Operating a pallet jack
  • Using an RF scanner.
  • Retrieving product in accordance with printed customer orders and packing products.
  • Restocking order selection zones as necessary and consolidating merchandise.
  • Stacking orders securely on a skid according to sequence of delivery route.
  • Applying shipping ID labels to products and completing paperwork related to inventory process.
  • Maintaining orderly workstation; returns supplies and merchandise to assigned locations.
  • Recording materials and inventory levels.
  • Contributing to the safety and security of the warehouse environment.
  • Performing other tasks and duties as assigned
  • Safely and accurately select customer orders. Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy
  • Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet
  • Carefully move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment
  • Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free
  • Efficiently deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wraps palletized orders
  • Team up to clear aisles of debris, stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle and return pallet jacks to charging area

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

HS Diploma or equivalent, Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must have very strong urgency in meeting objectives and deadlines. Requires the ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form. Ability to complete tasks under standardized situations with occasional variables. Experience operating various Power Walkie an asset. Ability to work flexible shift hours an asset Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively. Ability to work reliably from verbal and written instructions. Ability to apply general math skills. Intermediate computer knowledge and ability to learn/use computer programs on the job Must be able to work overtime as needed

Physical Requirements:

Physical ability to lift, carry, and position: up to 20 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 100 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to constantly bend, reach above shoulder, grasp objects, climb, kneel, squat, twist and stand throughout shift. Must be able to push/pull up to 150 lbs. occasionally Confident and comfortable operating equipment at heights up to 30 feet Experience operating various Power Walkie an asset. Must be able to reach production standards for CPH Ability to work flexible shift hours an asset Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively. Ability to work reliably from verbal and written instructions. Ability to apply general math skills. Work Environment:

Work hours may vary, or change based on department requirements. The job is primarily performed in a warehouse environment Regularly exposed to fast moving material handling and other mechanical equipment. Working in multiple environments including office, warehouse (can reach up to 100F) and ambient refrigeration (33-38F) and freezer areas (0- -20) for extended times The noise level in the work environment is typically low.
