Job description

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Shipping & Receiving (1st Shift) - Packer. The hourly rate for this position is $22.73 per hour.
HOURS: 8:30AM - 5PM
Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What you'll do:
  • Picking/Pulling orders
  • Packing orders
  • Verifying for correct parts, quantities, finish
  • Checking stock
  • Replenishing inventory as needed
  • Able to use RF scanners accurately and efficiently
  • Cutting wood as needed
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise
  • Must be able to work overtime with short notice

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Reno, NV will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

  • Minimum of one (1) year or more of previous shipping/packing experience

  • Well organized
  • Individual accountability
  • Fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure
  • Works well individually and in a team environment
  • Ability to utilize a staple gun, bander, nail gun, carton closer as needed
  • Ability to use SAP system

Physical Demands:
  • Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift
  • Able to regularly lift 35 pounds without assistance
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment including but not limited to steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, etc. as may be required by company policy and procedures
  • Exposure to cold and heat according to weather conditions when shipping doors are open
