Tonkin Gresham Honda is looking for a versatile, fast-paced, and customer-focused Parts Counter Sales Associate to join our growing team! This is a key role in our Parts Department, and we're looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in accuracy and excellent customer service.
Whether you're helping service technicians get the right parts, managing online parts orders, or assisting a customer at the counter, you'll play an essential role in keeping our operations running smoothly.
Parts Counter Sales Job Responsibilities
  • Promptly and accurately assist technicians at the parts counter with parts needed for Honda service and repair orders
  • Support fast-moving service operations with efficient parts fulfillment
  • Manage online parts and accessories orders from intake to fulfillment, including shipping and customer communication
  • Handle wholesale accounts, including taking phone orders, quoting prices, and building relationships with local repair shops
  • Provide front counter support to walk-in retail customers, offering product knowledge and great service
  • Receive, stock, and organize inventory with attention to accuracy and detail
  • Monitor parts levels and help maintain accurate records of stock and movement
  • Collaborate with the Parts Manager and team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Maintain a clean, professional, and organized workspace at all times

Schedule: Tues-Sat, Full Time

Parts Counter Sales Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or automotive training a plus
  • Previous experience in automotive parts, retail, or inventory management preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to assist both technicians and retail customers
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Comfortable using computer systems for order entry, inventory management, and online sales
  • Ability to lift and carry parts as needed and work on your feet for extended periods

Corporate requirements: Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record, able to pass a criminal background check, and a pre-employment drug screen.
