The Role

We are a rapidly growing food manufacturing company seeking a highly adaptable Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. This role requires the ability to shift priorities quickly, stay organized in a fast-paced environment, and ensure accurate and timely movement of goods. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in changing conditions and takes pride in accuracy, cleanliness, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shipping & Receiving:
    • Receive incoming goods, verify against packing lists/invoices, and inspect for quality.
    • Prepare outgoing shipments by palletizing, labeling, Bill of Ladings and ensure completeness of paperwork.
    • Create and apply accurate pallet tags, labels, and other tracking documentation.
    • Complete, scan, and file paperwork in digital folders as per company policy.
  • Material Handling and Inventory Management:
    • Load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse, cooler, and freezer.
    • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
    • Organize, stack, and store products according to warehouse layout and safety protocols
    • Conduct regular inventory cycle counts and report discrepancies.
    • Input inventory data into ERP system with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Facility Maintenance:
    • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, cooler, and freezer.
    • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
    • Monitor storage conditions to ensure product integrity.
  • Customer Interaction (As Needed):
    • Greet, check, and assist walk-in customers.
    • Create sales orders, generate invoices, collect payments, and follow proper cash handling procedures.
  • Other Duties as Assigned:
    • Flexibly assist with new or changing responsibilities as growth or operational needs require.

Qualifications:

  • Required:
    • 1+ year experience in a warehouse or logistics role, preferably in a food manufacturing or cold storage setting.
    • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
    • Comfortable working in cold storage (cooler/freezer) environments.
    • Basic computer skills (e.g., data entry, use of ERP or inventory software).
    • Basic math skills for inventory counts and transactions.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Able to handle shifting priorities and adjust workflow under pressure.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP; Sage 100 a plus.).
    • Prior customer service experience or sales order entry.
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting in warehouse and cold environments.
  • Comfortable working in environments ranging from -10°F (freezer) to ambient warehouse temperatures.
