What you'll do:
The Counter Sales Associate is responsible for delivering excellent customer service while supporting daily sales operations at the branch. This role serves as a key point of contact for customers, assisting with product selection, order entry, and transactions. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
  • Greet and assist customers in a professional and timely manner
  • Help customers select products, answer questions, and provide solutions based on their needs
  • Process sales transactions, returns, and payments accurately
  • Support order entry, pricing, and product availability inquiries
  • Maintain knowledge of products, pricing, and promotions
  • Assist with special orders and customer requests
  • Communicate product availability and lead times clearly
  • Receive, stock, and replenish merchandise as needed
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and report discrepancies
  • Assist with merchandising, signage, and organization of sales areas
  • Help ensure the sales floor and counter areas are clean and organized
  • Work closely with yard, warehouse, and delivery teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment
  • Communicate customer needs, feedback, and issues to management
  • Support a team-oriented environment focused on service and efficiency
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Maintain accuracy in transactions and adhere to loss prevention practices
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
