The Order Entry Specialist is responsible for entering, reviewing, and maintaining customer orders within the Company's ERP systems with a high degree of accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail. This role supports the customer experience and sales process by managing order entry, verifying order information, maintaining data integrity, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring orders are processed in accordance with company standards and procedures.

How success is defined:

 

  • Enter customer purchase orders, RFQs, and related order information into the Company's ERP system, JDE.
  • Review orders for completeness and accuracy, including pricing, quantities, product codes, specifications, shipping instructions, and payment terms.
  • Generate pro-forma invoices and other order-related documentation as required.
  • Maintain customer and order records, ensuring data integrity and compliance with company standards.
  • Investigate and resolve order or data discrepancies, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Customer Experience, Accounting, Operations, and Logistics teams to support efficient order processing and issue resolution.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders via phone, email, and other communication channels.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance data accuracy and customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to company policies regarding confidentiality, compliance, recordkeeping, and data management.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

What you will bring:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of order entry, data entry, customer service, sales support, or related administrative experience.
  • ERP system experience required; JD Edwards (JDE), or similar platforms strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong data entry skills with a demonstrated ability to maintain speed and accuracy.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to quality.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage changing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience in manufacturing, hospitality, design, wholesale/distribution, or related industries, and familiarity with logistics processes, is preferred.

Compensation Range: $24 to $26 per hour 

Compensation is based on individual factors, including skill set, relevant experience, and work location
