Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
Provide general admin/office support for the Chapman Orchestra.
Responsibilities
• Serve as the liaison between ensemble members and the Director of Orchestral Studies
• Assist the Director of Orchestral Studies with administrative tasks and special projects
• Coordinate and communicate rehearsal and performance logistics with faculty, staff, and external partners
• Help organize and run placement auditions for large ensembles during the summer
• Hire outside musicians as needed for orchestral performances
• Work with Musco Center staff on performance logistics, as needed
• Delegate responsibilities to TCO staff and coordinate with the library team
• Assist librarian(s) in the preparation and distribution of orchestral materials
• Plan, organize, and implement special events, such as the annual TCO Beach Bonfire
• Execute other duties as assigned by the Director of Orchestral Studies
Required Qualifications
  • Little to minimal prior experience. Ability to learn support process. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
