As the need for dependable local plumbing services continues to grow, we’re looking for qualified technicians interested in living and working on Orcas Island long-term.


Located just minutes from Eastsound, Barron’s Orcas Island home provides a unique opportunity to live where you work while supporting a community that truly values skilled tradespeople.


At Barron, our Licensed Plumbers will:

  • Install, repair, and service residential plumbing systems and fixtures: water heaters (tank type, tankless, heat pump), water filtration, pumps, plumbing fixtures and other household plumbing components
  • Identify and troubleshoot plumbing issues such as leaks, blockages, or equipment failures
  • Work on Residential Retrofit and light commercial projects
  • Accurately complete job and follow up tasks in a timely manner
  • Review and interpret plans/drawings related to the building trades
  • Work with various types of piping materials
  • Follow health and safety standards and building codes
  • Estimate time, materials, and costs for plumbing jobs
  • Collaborate with contractors, customers and Barron team
  • Willingness to participate in the on-call rotation
  • Respond to plumbing emergencies and perform necessary repairs
  • Maintain flexibility to travel throughout Barron’s service areas as needed
  • Maintain required certifications and stay current on industry best practices, technology and CEU requirements
  • Meet and exceed individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked company vehicle
  • Maintain a professional, Barron-branded appearance in accordance with company policy
  • Safely lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing 50-75 lbs., and up to 100 lbs. with assistance
  • Perform physical job tasks including bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing ladders, and working in confined or overhead spaces

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Plumbing experience (required)
  • Active 01 or 02 Plumbing License (required)
  • Active Electrical Trainee card (required)
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Pre-employment Drug Screening
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States

Compensation:

  • Full-Time
  • $35.00-$55.00 per hour; DOE
  • Monthly Rent Stipend
    • Unit !: 1 Bedroom, 1 Office/Bedroom, 1 Bathroom
    • Unit 2: 1 Bedroom, 2 Bathrooms
