Job description

The EBS Consultant III will interact effectively with the team and lead high performing, multidisciplinary consulting teams. This role will serve as a trusted advisor focusing on business driven transformation projects. The ideal candidate will have multiple years of recent exposure to Oracle E-Business Suite modules, real world business processes, and will be familiar with domain areas specific to a module discipline such as Financials, Supply Chain, Planning, Human Resources, and Management. Role Responsibilities:- Works with the engagement lead to structure overall consulting engagement solution approaches. - Seeks out client input to better understand needs and develop ideas for how to meet those needs. - Leads in-depth competitive and value analyses on engagements. - Analyzes all factors relevant to the situation/problem and calibrates recommendations by business impact, costs, resources, and people outcomes.- Leads a team of consulting, IT professional & subject matter experts in establishing complete business and functional requirements, then translating those requirements into actionable project initiatives with associated metrics.- Establishes and builds agreement among project team members for project milestones, resource requirements, timelines and measures of success- Recognizes conflicting goals and provides guidance/coaching to team members to better meet client needs- Consistently drives the project team toward exceeding expectations on the completion of project milestones and overarching project timelines.- Interacts with client business and IT leaders, to develop effective business relationships, manage client expectations and ensures quality of client services rendered.- Works with sales and presales teams to prepare proposals, participate on client presentations and support business development and the sale of professional services. - Key element of this role will also include being able to meet with senior business and IT leaders and present viewpoints and establish credibility for the company to generate leads for consulting and transformation work- Provides opportunities for team members to develop skills and overcome performance barriers.- Provides Oracle EBS expertise to client and less experienced consulting team members.- Train other teammates- Other projects/assignments as required Qualifications and Experience:- Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field, or equivalent training and experience preferred- Minimum 7 years developing, designing and implementing Oracle E-Business Suite based solutions- Minimum 7 years of IT experience- Consulting and System Integration experience in a top tier consulting organization highly desirable- Ability to interact at all levels of clients and organizations- Must have excellent writing and communication skills; able to communicate with technical and business community- Experience with software and Infrastructure Change Management, Release Management, and Source Code Configuration Control- Proficient with tools used to support Oracle application development including, but not limited to, SQL, PL/SQL- Experience with actively contributing to the report design process, code deliverables, and unit and integration testing.- Experience with designing, developing and supporting extensions and customizations - The ability to work as an individual and to be able to demonstrate initiative to proactively solve problems with minimum supervision- Working knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite R12- Must be able to manage multiple assignments, set priorities and meet deadlines- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment- Experience mentoring junior staff
