About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Principal Consultant to lead and support Human Capital Management (HCM) initiatives focused on security configuration, system integrations, data migration, configuration, and testing. This role requires deep functional and technical expertise in enterprise HCM platforms, strong consulting skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and project teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in HCM implementations, particularly in designing security controls, integrating modules and third-party systems, executing data migration strategies, and supporting end-to-end testing activities.
What you'll do
  • Configure and manage HCM security controls, roles, privileges, and access policies to meet business and compliance requirements.
  • Design and implement integrations between HCM modules and external systems using appropriate integration technologies and best practices.
  • Lead data migration activities, including data mapping, extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), validation, and reconciliation.
  • Support system configuration across HCM modules, ensuring alignment with client business processes and project objectives.
  • Develop and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) plans; identify and resolve defects in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Provide functional and technical guidance to project teams and clients throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Document configurations, integration designs, migration procedures, and testing results in accordance with project standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and client stakeholders, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Support troubleshooting, issue resolution, and post-implementation stabilization activities.

Qualifications
  • US Citizen
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in HCM systems, enterprise applications, or related technology roles.
  • 3-4 years of consulting experience or equivalent client-facing technology experience.
  • Hands-on expertise in:
    • HCM security configuration and governance
    • System and module integrations o Data migration methodologies and tools
    • Configuration and testing processes
  • Strong understanding of HCM business processes and enterprise system architecture.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Must possess an active Public Trust clearance (or be eligible to obtain and maintain one, as applicable).

Preferred
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM, Oracle EBS HCM, Workday, or similar enterprise HCM platforms.
  • Familiarity with integration technologies such as REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, or cloud integration platforms.
  • Experience supporting federal or public sector clients.
  • Relevant certifications in HCM platforms, cloud technologies, or project delivery methodologies.
