Description:

The Oracle Cloud Developer will serve as a key technical resource for The Chemical Guys Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP across multiple functional areas. This individual will be responsible for writing technical design documents, test cases and computer codes utilizing the latest Oracle technologies to implement customizations, enhancements, and new reports satisfying users’ business requirements.


Position Description:

  • Convert business requirements into technical designs that meet company standards.
  • Develop computer code using Oracle technologies particularly related to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure such as Oracle APEX tool.
  • Develop and document extensive unit and system test cases to ensure the computer code developed functions as designed.
  • Execute the test cases and promptly fix the bugs to ensure the delivery of high quality code on time.
  • Analyze, understand and document previously developed computer code to ensure continued production operation of the same.
  • Make enhancements to existing computer code to add new functionality as requested by the business.
  • Investigate, evaluate and make recommendations with respect to the suitability of new technologies to further the strategic and operational goals of the business.
  • Be the point of contact for any questions regarding the adoption and usage of Oracle technologies within the organization.

First Year Deliverables

Provide 3 – 7 bullet points describing specific deliverables within the first 3 – 6 – 12 months on the job. Deliverables must be reasonably achievable, the completion and quality of which will be used to assess individual’s work performance.

· 3 months:

  • In depth understanding of the technology infrastructure and the programming tools used in the organization.
  • Understanding of the IT policies and procedures for user support, system configurations and software code development and deployment
  • Development of personal and professional relationships with the user community

· 6 months:

  • Analysis and documentation of computer code currently in operation
  • Perform significant enhancements to existing code to meet new business requirements
  • Develop programming and code for at least one new business function currently unavailable within the organization.

· 12 months:

  • Established and recognized as the technical guru in relevant technologies related to Oracle systems.
  • Delivered code for at least four new functions that are in extensive and reliable use within the company.
  • Expert level contribution and guidance with respect to current and future use of Oracle technologies.

Position Location: Torrance, CA (Hybrid with 3 days a week on-site)

Pay Range: $120,000 – $135,000 + 10% bonus

Requirements:

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Computer Science, or equivalent technical and business experience.
  • Five to ten years’ experience as an Oracle developer
  • Expert level knowledge in Oracle APEX tool, SQL and PL/SQL
  • Experience in other programming languages preferably Java and Python
  • Project experience in an Agile environment.
  • Experience with one or more Oracle Reporting tools including Financial Reporting Studio (FRS), Smart View, OTBI, BI Reports, Power BI, QlikView and/or Tableau.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
