DUTIES:
  • Leads and participates in assigned projects using Azure DevOps tools.
  • Writes and/or supplements work item instructions (PBIs) that provide technical direction.
  • Assign tasks to balance workload and capacity.
  • Updates assignments as priorities shift.
  • Provides regular assessment of team member code quality and proofing pull requests to prevent rework and schedule slippage.
  • Fulfills Java and/or Angular using IntelliJ IDEA and/or Visual Studio as capacity allows.
  • Develops normalized table structures, complex stored procedures, and views in SQL Server Management Studio and Oracle Developer.
  • Troubleshoots, monitors, and reports on application availability and performance using Splunk, Dynatrace, and Data Dog.
  • Responds quickly to application outages; collaborates with other technical teams to resolve downstream failures; proposes novel interim solutions to maintain business activities until outage is resolved.
  • Monitors application performance and availability.
  • Establishes and maintains automated alerts to identify performance concerns approaching minimum service agreements.
  • Communicates and coordinates resolution for breached service levels.
  • Identifies core failure and recommends solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • May recommend new technologies and methodologies to management for meeting business needs within budget constraints, resolving problems and exploiting opportunities. Remains current with new technologies.
  • Stays informed about company standards, expectations, and supported frameworks, ensuring compliance with security and quality standards.
  • Maintains technical specification documentation and Standard Operating Procedures in Confluence.
  • Uses approved AI models in Github Copilot to drive efficiencies and consistency in coding practices.
  • Participate in cross-team technical planning and discussions.
  • Provides advice and assists in solving programming problems.
  • Writes and/or reviews system specifications, including output requirements and flow charts.
  • Ensures accurate and complete production deployments by writing detailed implementation instructions, justifications, and risk assessments in ServiceNow.
  • Schedules and communication releases with business and IT partners.
  • Requests regular status updates and participates in post-deployment validation.
  • Communicates go-live availability to end consumers.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, Business, or related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in any occupation with development or related experience.
  • Five (5) years of experience in any occupation with development or related experience must include: Distributed Architectures, micro-services, OO background, Distributed Caching (Redis) and Messaging paradigms (MQ);
  • SQL Server Management Studio and Oracle Developer experience including stored procedures and best practices for optimal performance;
  • SCRUM oriented Agile methodologies and Project Management (Azure DevOps);
  • Experience writing clean, scalable code using architectural patterns;
  • Experience in performance optimization including concurrent programming, memory management, and JVM tuning;
  • Java programming language including the following technologies/frameworks:
  • Spring, Spring Boot, Spring DBC templates, Spring caching, Redis, JBoss application server, and Apache CXF;
  • DevOps and collaboration tools including Jenkins, Splunk, GIT, TFS, and Sonar; and command of web development architecture styles/APIs/protocols (REST, SOAP).
