Title: Senior Demand Planning Analyst
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Demand Planning Analyst to contribute significantly to our demand forecasting accuracy and supply chain efficiency. The Sr. Analyst will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and refining statistical forecast models, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with various departments to ensure optimal product availability and inventory levels. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, effective data interpretation skills, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively to stakeholders.
JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS
Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate and refine statistical forecasts for assigned product portfolios using advanced analytical techniques and demand planning software, incorporating historical sales data, market trends, promotional activities, and other causal factors.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of demand patterns, forecast deviations, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify root causes of forecast error and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, product management, and supply chain teams to gather insights, align on demand drivers, and build consensus forecasts as part of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
  • Lead or support projects aimed at improving demand planning processes, tools, and methodologies, implementing continuous improvement in forecast accuracy and efficiency.
  • Utilize and maintain demand planning software and ERP systems (Netstock and SAP) to manage forecasts, report performance, and extract actionable insights.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports and analyses on demand forecasts and service metrics to management and cross-functional partners, explaining forecast rationale and impacts.
  • Participate in new product introduction planning, providing demand forecasts and assessing potential impacts on the existing product portfolio.
  • Identify and mitigate potential demand risks and opportunities, proactively communicating challenges and suggesting solutions to minimize business disruption and optimize inventory.
  • May provide guidance or mentorship to junior demand planning analysts.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of reporting

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Analytical and Quantitative Skills: Deep understanding of statistical analysis, forecasting models (e.g., ARIMA, Exponential Smoothing), and data interpretation.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, and complex formulas) and experience with demand planning software (e.g., SAP APO, JDA, Oracle Demantra, IBP) and ERP systems. Basic SQL, Power BI, or other data manipulation knowledge is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving: Effective critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify issues, analyze complex data, and develop effective solutions.
  • Communication & Presentation: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex data insights and recommendations clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, operations) to achieve shared objectives.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous and accurate in data analysis and reporting.

Education, Certification/License & Work Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain analysis, or a similar analytical role.
  • Certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, or IBF Certified Professional Forecaster (CPF) are a plus.

Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Location: Broomfield, Colorado
  • Hybrid Role - On-site 2-3 days a week and as required for meetings and events

Total Rewards Package:
Compensation
  • Base: $93,000 - $116,000 annually, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
  • Bonus: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance.
