Project Scope:
Seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator Consultant to manage and support enterprise database environments that power mission-critical applications and services. The consultant will be responsible for Oracle database administration, performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery, security, patch management, and infrastructure support.
This role requires extensive experience with Oracle 19c, Oracle ASM, Data Guard, Grid Control, and Oracle deployments on Windows Server platforms. The consultant will work closely with application, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure database stability, performance, scalability, and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer, maintain, and support enterprise Oracle database environments.
• Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and optimize Oracle 19c databases.
• Manage Oracle ASM (Automatic Storage Management) environments.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Oracle Data Guard standby databases.
• Administer Oracle Grid Control 13c environments and perform upgrades and patching.
• Monitor database performance, availability, capacity, and security.
• Perform backup, recovery, disaster recovery planning, and failover testing.
• Support Oracle deployments on Microsoft Windows Server 2022 and newer platforms.
• Troubleshoot database issues and implement performance tuning solutions.
• Collaborate with application development and infrastructure teams on database requirements.
• Develop database standards, procedures, and operational documentation.
• Support production deployments, maintenance activities, and system upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security and operational policies.
Required Skills & Experience:
• 7+ years of Senior Oracle DBA experience in large enterprise environments.
• 5+ years of Oracle 19c administration experience.
• Strong experience with Oracle ASM (Automatic Storage Management).
• 5+ years of Oracle Data Guard configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and support.
• 5+ years of Oracle Grid Control 13c administration and patching.
• Experience installing, maintaining, and supporting Oracle 19c on Microsoft Windows Server 2022 and newer.
• Experience with database backup, recovery, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of enterprise database architecture, security, and disaster recovery best practices.
• 3+ years of Government sector experience.
Preferred Skills:
• Microsoft SQL Server administration familiarity.
• Power BI reporting and analytics familiarity.
• Experience supporting large-scale public sector enterprise systems.
• Knowledge of database modernization and migration initiatives.
• Experience working within highly regulated environments.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and enterprise database administration experience will be considered.
