Job description

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (Oracle DBA) to support and maintain mission-critical Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability, and security. This is a fully onsite opportunity in Sacramento, CA, with a virtual interview process.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Must have 10+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Administrator supporting enterprise-scale production environments.
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Master (OCM) certification is highly preferred. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) certification is a plus.
  • Administer, monitor, and maintain Oracle databases in development, testing, and production environments.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle Database software and related components.
  • Perform database backup, recovery, cloning, and disaster recovery using RMAN and Data Guard.
  • Monitor database health, storage, and performance, implementing tuning strategies for optimal efficiency.
  • Manage Oracle RAC, ASM, and high-availability configurations to ensure maximum uptime.
  • Troubleshoot database issues, analyze root causes, and resolve production incidents within SLA timelines.
  • Implement database security, user management, auditing, and compliance best practices.
  • Automate routine database administration tasks using Shell scripting or similar automation tools.
  • Collaborate with application developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders during deployments and database changes.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
