Job Title: Application Administrator - Level 2 Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local * * The Opportunity: CACI is seeking a skilled and experienced Applications Administrator (Level 2) to join our dynamic team to support a DoD client in Suitland, MD. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Information Systems with a specific focus on application administration, particularly in a RedHat (RHEL) and Oracle WebLogic environment. The role requires advanced technical skills, strong interpersonal and communication abilities, and a solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and services. Key Responsibilities: Application Administration:
  • Install, maintain, and administer Oracle's WebLogic Application Server.
  • Manage application administration and maintenance in a Linux/UNIX (Solaris 10+) environment.
  • Develop and debug shell scripts as needed for application support.
  • Cloud Management:
  • Utilize AWS to manage applications in a cloud environment.
  • Work with cloud infrastructure tools such as AWS CLI, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet.
  • Familiarize and implement cloud serverless technologies like AWS Lambda.
  • System Administration:
  • Install and configure JAVA applications.
  • Administer Oracle's WebLogic application server in a multi-domain environment.
  • Manage PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) for secure application deployment.
  • Network and Security:
  • Apply advanced working knowledge of network technologies and protocols.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of applications through best practices and compliance with IT policies.
  • Collaboration and Support:
  • Provide Tier 2 support for application-related issues.
  • Work closely with development and operations teams to ensure smooth application deployment and maintenance.
Document procedures and maintain knowledge bases for application administration tasks. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in Information Systems with a focus on application administration.
  • 3 - 5 years of direct experience with installing, maintaining, and administering Oracle's WebLogic Application Server.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience with application administration and maintenance in a Linux/UNIX (Solaris 10+) environment.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Well-versed with AWS to manage applications in a Cloud environment.
  • Working knowledge of JBOSS AS and Java.
  • Familiar with PKI (Public Key Infrastructure).
  • Advanced working knowledge of network technologies and protocols.
  • Experience with various Windows OS releases.
  • Experience with ITSM (IT Service Management).
