Position Highlights:

Join a team that is redefining care across the continuum. In this Clinical Pharmacist role, you will support an ambulatory outpatient infusion practice and a hematology/oncology provider group with an oncology focus. You will partner closely with the pharmacy team, providers, and nursing staff to optimize evidence-based therapy, monitoring, toxicity management, and safe medication delivery.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review injectable and oral regimens for appropriateness, safety, interactions, and cost-conscious care, and provide consultative recommendations to prescribers.
  • Monitor therapy through patient assessment and lab interpretation, and help prevent and manage adverse effects and urgent medication-related issues.
  • Educate patients, caregivers, and staff on medication use, expected side effects, and monitoring requirements.
  • Support protocol development, guideline maintenance, and order set optimization in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Support investigational drug and research-related medication processes as assigned.
  • Verify and dispense time-sensitive infusion medications and support safe preparation workflows consistent with sterile and hazardous drug standards, when applicable.
  • Help manage medication shortages and support infusion operations to maintain continuity of care.

Required Qualifications:

  • PharmD
  • Active Washington State pharmacist license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PGY1 and PGY2 (Oncology), or equivalent ambulatory oncology or infusion experience.
  • Board certification in an appropriate specialty (for example, BCOP).

The salary range for this role is $115,000 to $177,000 per year. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
