The Clinical Staff Pharmacist will have the opportunity to apply your clinical expertise by evaluating and interpreting medication orders, compounding, and dispensing prescriptions in accordance with legal and professional standards. You will play a critical role in identifying, preventing, and resolving medication-related issues to ensure safe, effective, and individualized patient care. Through the application of evidence-based protocols, you will promote clinically sound and cost-effective drug therapy, contributing to improved patient outcomes and advancing the standard of pharmaceutical care.


Schedule: This is a part-time position that will work at least 20 hours per week.

About the Facility: Lake Charles Memorial Hospital is the only locally-owned, regional community healthcare system in Lake Charles. Lake Charles Memorial Health System consists of Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, a 314-bed acute care facility at our main campus on Oak Park Boulevard; Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for Women, a 38-bed women's health services facility at Gauthier and Nelson Roads, Moss Memorial Health Clinic on Walters Road for populations in need of primary and specialty care, Archer Institute, our 42-bed behavioral health hospital on Nelson Road; the Memorial Medical Group, our affiliate physician group comprised of over 100 specialists and Memorial/LSUHSC Family Medicine Residency Program which trains primary care physicians.

Required Qualifications:

  • ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD)
  • Active applicable state pharmacist license in good standing


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience as a pharmacist
  • Residency training and hospital experience


Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $44.09 to $78.70 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
