We provide hands on training, experienced trainers, and a mentor to help you learn everything you need to succeed. Location: Noblesville, IN
Wage: $16.00-$18.00 (wage will depends on knowledge, skills, and experience
What Does an Optometric Technician Do:
Our technicians play an important role in patient care. You will work closely with doctors and patients to help ensure each visit runs smoothly and that doctors have the information they need to provide excellent care.
In this role you will
  • Collect important patient information and histories
  • Perform preliminary and ancillary eye testing
  • Prepare patients for their eye exams
  • Assist doctors during procedures
  • Help create a positive and welcoming patient experience

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for eye examinations by explaining the features and benefits of our preliminary testing procedures
  • Perform preliminary and doctor requested tests on patients
  • Assist optometrists and ophthalmologists during patient procedures
  • Coordinate patient scheduling and help maintain smooth patient flow throughout the office while communicating delays when needed
  • Prepare exam rooms by cleaning instruments and maintaining inventory of medications and supplies
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming environment for both patients and staff
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the office manager, team lead, or doctors

Physical Demand:
  • Standing for extended periods of time
  • Stooping, grasping, lifting, talking, and hearing

Physical requirements include
  • Light work
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 15 pounds from floor to waist
  • Ability to lift 5 pounds from waist to shoulder
  • Ability to lift 5 pounds from shoulder to overhead
  • Visual acuity to ensure accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness in assigned work
