Job description

The Operator performs operational work related to loading/unloading tank trucks and railcars; bulk liquid transfer within the facility; performing basic tank, pipe and pumping system maintenance; and general housekeeping for the yard and the shop areas.
Principle Responsibilities:
Load and unload trucks which involves climbing ladders and moving/picking up 50#+ hoses
Load and unload railcars using large wenches to loosen fittings and bolts
Responsible for bulk liquid transfers - opening and closing large gate valves, walking throughout the plant on uneven surfaces/gravel/rock/grass and climbing stairs/catwalks/vertical ladders
Operate various style pumps and troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance/repairs
Operate boiler and replace steam fittings as needed
Perform general inside housekeeping and outside housekeeping involving physical labor, shovel, wheelbarrow, and rake
Perform maintenance using hand tools, moving heavy valves/pipes, and some loader operation
Participates and contributes to company safety program
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
