Job description

Openwork is currently engaged in search to find a CNC Operator/ Helper responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate metal and plastic parts with precision. This includes loading materials, running machine operations, performing quality checks, and making minor adjustments to ensure products meet exact specifications.

As a CNC Operator youโ€™ll be responsible for:
  • Set up and operate CNC machines (e.g., mills, lathes, routers) to perform machining operations on metal or plastic workpieces.
  • Load and unload raw materials and finished parts from machines.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine machine settings and work sequences.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure parts are produced to specification and within tolerances.
  • Perform routine inspections and measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
  • Make minor program edits or tool changes as needed.
  • Report any malfunctions, safety issues, or quality concerns to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
  • Complete production logs and documentation accurately.

What youโ€™ll need:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in CNC machining is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a CNC operator or similar role.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Familiarity with G-code and CNC control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Mazak).
