Job description

With nearly 60 years of experience, Amuneal operates two divisions in Philadelphia, each with a focus on the highest quality products, fed by a strategy focused on diversification. Amuneal's Technical Products Division is the country's largest and most respected supplier of magnetic shielding, while our award-winning Custom Fabrication Division creates original designs for high-end residential and commercial interiors.
Amuneal is looking for a woodshop CNC Operator + Programmer will the ability to operate both 5 axis pod + rail and nested based CNC router machines to assist in the fabrication process of our products. This role will operate on a 4 day/10hours a day, 40 hour work week of 6:30AM-5:00PM Monday-Thursday.
Responsibilities:
  • Under minimal supervision set up and safely operate CNC router machines, perform basic maintenance and upkeep, as well as maintain machine parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Read blueprints, CAD models, and technical drawings for programming and machine operation.
  • Work safely in a collaborative environment adhering to OSHA requirements and safety procedures.
  • Be able to comfortably lift sheets of plywood and MDF, both unassisted and assisted.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1-3 years experience in operating 5 axis pod + rail and/or nested base CNC routers.
  • Minimum 1-3 years experience with CAD/CAM software such as Cabinet Vision and Alphacam.
  • Proficient in using basic handheld power tools such as impact drivers, drills, saws, etc.
  • Experience in cabinet construction and furniture making.
  • Punctual, reliable individual who can work full time on a 4 day, Monday - Thursday 6:30AM - 5:00PM shift in the Frankford area of Philadelphia.
  • Experience operating industrial woodshop equipment such as wide belt sanders, beam saws, shapers, etc. is a plus.
