Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience with human resources programs or comparable experience in a public education environment preferred.
  • High level of proficiency in applied technology (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, etc).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to prepare and receive detailed information and apply appropriate decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrate personal integrity and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Self-motivated, ability to handle multiple tasks, demonstrate leadership ability and work collaboratively.
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service and work with diverse groups.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) required.

Terms of Employment:

244 days

Salary/Paygrade:

$32,367 – CP4

Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year.

Essential Functions:

  1. Process and record all Operations department personnel actions including new hires, transfers, resignations, promotions/demotions, campus & shift transfers, rate changes, stipends.
  2. Responsible for the completion of the I-9 Form Part 2; track & maintain I-9 reverification process.
  3. Maintain department's staffing list by tracking employee changes on a weekly basis, email update to department's team. Maintain, update & communicate department's vacancies dashboard. Work with Operations Human Resources Assistant Director.
  4. Process, track and assist all employees with FMLA/TD Leaves for department. Track and communicate monthly metrics.
  5. Process worker's compensation incidents & accidents; process wage statements and work closely with district insurance department team throughout the process.
  6. Request & communicate any badging needs (lost, faded, broken, door access, etc.) to district's badging department & Operations staff. Maintain accurate badging monthly records.
  7. Assist employees in providing verification of employment letters.
  8. Cross train and serve as a backup for other department administrative assistants.
  9. Assist and participate in recruitment events and activities.
  10. Answer and respond to incoming calls, take reliable messages, assist employees with any HR related inquiries, route to appropriate staff.
  11. File, store, and scan HR related documents and verifies scanned documents are clear and legible.
  12. Prepare and run reports as needed.
  13. Collaborate regularly with the assistant director of Human Resources.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of information.
  15. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress. Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer.
