Operations Supervisor

Our growing enterprise operates 27 facilities across North America, including Canada, the United States and Mexico, with additional interests in Europe. Our established and far-reaching geographic network means we maintain and service our current customer base while making strides in new and emerging markets. We strive to build confidence and value from local or community-based peddlers to the most prominent international companies by providing customized solutions that deliver on all metal recycling and process needs.
Triple M (U.S.), Inc. is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Operations - Supervisor. This position will be located at our Fountain Inn, South Carolina location.
General Requirements:
The Supervisor is responsible for directing and monitoring Team Members while overseeing and ensuring the health and safety of team members, quality of work performed and reporting on daily/weekly objectives to verify the status and completion of operational goals.
  • Schedule, train, evaluate, direct and motivate all staff members to ensure daily/weekly operational objectives are completed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Prepares staff schedules, approves/denies vacation requests based on operational requirements.
  • Facilitate training with new hire/transfer team members.
  • Ensure team members are aware of internal/external material specifications.
  • Evaluates team members on an ongoing basis and provides feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Directs daily duties and objectives.
  • Motivates staff to ensure positive morale and employee relations.
  • Inspecting material upon arrival, while in processing, and prior to shipment.
  • Audits all staff reports, including but not limited to, Equipment Inspection Checklists, and Production Reports.
  • Monitor's reports for accuracy and thorough completion in accordance with operational and quality policies and procedures.
  • Records findings and compiles reports relating to equipment service, inventory and production.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.

Experience:
  • 1 year experience in a leadership role
  • A desire to succeed, strong interpersonal skills, analytical ability, willingness to learn, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Equipment; forklift, skidsteer, loader, mobile material handler, tractor trailers a plus but we will train the right candidate.
  • Preferred: 2 - 3 years' experience with ferrous and/or non-ferrous scrap metal inspection, receiving, shipping and processing.
