Primary Purpose:
The Operations Support Associate provides critical logistical and administrative support for the Transportation Department. This position primarily works with the Fleet/Shop Supervisor to complete parts runs, errands for the shop, and the district mail run. The Operations Support Associate also assists with data entry, errands for the Operations Supervisor, and occasional office duties as needed. In rare instances, this position may be asked to assist with bus routes as a substitute driver or monitor.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Applicant must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or GED (required)
Valid Texas driver's license with an acceptable driving record (required)
Ability to obtain and maintain district-mandated clearances (required)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to read and interpret delivery schedules, maps, and routing instructions
Ability to lift and carry mail, packages, and parts up to 50 lbs
Proficient in data entry and basic office software (Microsoft Office, Google Suite, or equivalent)
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
Experience:
One year of experience in a courier, delivery, logistics, or data entry role preferred
Previous experience in a school district or public sector setting is a plus
