Our Operations Support Director will report directly to the Vice President of Operational Excellence for Student Nutrition with a dotted line reporting structure to the Region’s Regional Vice President.  This role will also play a critical role in supporting our Registered Dietitians within the Region and will interface with operational leaders, regional staff, support functions within Student Nutrition, and Aramark’s Hospitality Enablement Team.

The ideal candidate for this Operations Support Director will possess:

  • Strong aptitude for leadership, communication skills, personnel development, and training
  • Multi-level operations experience
  • Self-starter with the ability to work effectively with little supervision
  • Willing and able to travel up 50%
  • Exhibit an aptitude and track record for influencing others without formal authority
  • High level of maturity and leadership
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to drive action through analysis
  • Manage projects to meet the objective while maintaining overall budget and timeline
Job Responsibilities
  • Act as primary liaison for the Food & Labor Management within the Region of our Student Nutrition line of business.
  • Lead the training, implementation, monitoring/measurement, and progress communication of Food and Labor Management standards, processes, cost, and productivity throughout the Region
    • Ensure food and labor productivity performance is met within the region
    • Analyze indicators, results, and behaviors to identify areas of opportunity
    • Responsible for driving accountability and outcomes by working closely with the Regional Vice President and District Manager(s) within the region
  • Identify root causes in process breakdown, make recommendations for corrective actions as well as support execution and improvement
  • Provide content subject matter expertise and support to develop and refine content and operational support tools (i.e., On the job learning aids, multi-media training, ILT, Train the Trainer support, etc.)
  • Partner with Aramark Supply Chain resources to lead all management and communication of specified product(s) and authorized vendor compliance
  • Act as primary liaison and expert for USDA Child Nutrition (CN) Programs within the Region
  • Support annual CN menu development, deployment, and training to operational teams.  Support operational teams with menu refinement and nutritional analysis to meet federal regulations
  • Collaborate with Commodity and Product Manager, Category Manager, and Culinary Systems & Support Manager on new product development opportunities and sharing feedback from operational teams on existing products and programs.
  • Support new business mobilization and retention activities as it related to food and labor productivity, nutrition, management, and client and student engagement activities
  • Conduct nutritional counseling and consultations on an as needed basis for special diet menus and operational processes
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree is required for this role; masters degree is preferred but not required
  • This role will also require the individual that is selected to be a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
  • 5+ years of operations leadership experience
  • Strong working knowledge of the PRIMA Web Menu Planning is preferred
  • Well-versed in MS Office suite (Teams, Word, Powerpoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Project management experience is a plus
  • People development experience
  • Ability to work through ambiguous, dynamic/fluid environment while effective managing change
